A wicked sorceress casts a spell on the woman who lives near her grand castle causing her to yearn for a salad made from the rapunzel leaves that grew only in her garden. Her husband, concerned for his wife, sneaks into the garden and steals some rapunzel leaves for her. And when the sorceress caught him stealing the leaves, he told her about his wife and the child they were expecting. The sorceress said he could take the rapunzel leaves . . . but they would have to give the child to the sorceress.
To the husband’s surprise, his wife agreed, for she was still under the spell cast by the sorceress. When the baby girl is born, the husband and wife take her to the sorceress’s castle and leave her there. The sorceress keeps Rapunzel in the castle for twelve years, then moves her to a secluded tower.
What will happen when a prince sees the beautiful Rapunzel?
