Look it's Chomsky. Nothing I write or say will influence a change of opinion on this polarizing figure. There that said, let me also state that Noam and I can agree on a lot of topics. His bias, and let's be clear he is biased in his study, and my own personal bias skew in a similar direction. Okay that is all out of the way, which leaves both of us with the short compendium 'Power and Terror'. This book came out of a project to follow Chomsky for the creation of a documentary and includes interviews and questions sessions from talks Chomsky gave around the country. This book breezed right by at around 130 pages and boy was it boooorrrrinnnngggg. I have read several Chomsky pieces and at this point for those initiated, and by initiated i mean having read more than one Chomsky piece, this book could have been completely skipped as it was pointless. Nothing new was added and no new ground was broken. It was worth the $1.00 i paid for it at a sale and i didn't despise reading it, but it will at best be used as a quick reference for a point or will sit on the shelf for awhile till i determine to get rid of it in a move. "There is actually one simple way for the United States to decrease very significantly the amount of terror in the world, and that is to just stop supporting and participating in it." -- from the 76th of just 133 devastating and absorbing pages.
