Angela comes off rather annoying as a name dropper with her separate chapters on Bonham and Keith Moon (look who I know!!) but I tend to think she is mainly telling the truth here. I am sure it's embellished a bit but overall, I feel inclined to believe her. I did enjoy getting a closer look at how Bowie got started on his career path, which managers he had, the hipsters who helped him design his clothes and all that. A very interesting book, I couldn't put it down :) I'm a bit sceptical, however, would have been nice to get David Bowie's version of it all. 0.081 seconds to build listing no reviews | add a review

This story is obviously exaggerated in places. I'm sure it's colored by the inconsistencies of memory, the effects of drugs, and the very human impulse to make yourself look good in the retelling. Even so, I believe it. I'm inclined to think that this account is, for the part, a true story. And well worth reading, in any case.
