teknochik: NObody seems to know this fabulous book. It is a reflective memoire by St Expery as he was piloting a reconnaissance mission over Germany in WW2. It is a beautiful commentary on war and what it does to humanity. Possibly one of the most hidden and understated gems of the 20th century. When I read this book, I suddenly understood "The Little Prince" with far more depth.… (more)

I tried reading this book to my grandchildren but I felt it spoke down to them and I had to stop. When I finished it later, I found it quite a flawed narrative with an overriding and disappointing pretense to be profoundly truthful. It took a moral high-ground that I found restrictive and ultimately distasteful. ( )

I think that I originally read this one a few decades ago, but I didn't remember a thing about it. Just enchanting words and drawings. Magical. You can draw as much or little as you like from the book and still enjoy the curiosity of The Little Prince as he makes his way to many planets and learns a valuable lesson from a fox. ( )

I wish I had gotten to experience this as a small child. It is definitely written for children, and it has that sweet tone. But just the same, it was a good reminder of what being a child is like, now that I am an adult. ( )

Olyan szépen megírt, varázslatos, legkevésbé sem szájbarágós, de nagyon fontos tanulságokkal teli örök kedvenc könyv. A csendes, szelíd, szomorú kisfiú története, aki miatt mindig figyelek rá, nehogy kalapnak nézzek egy óriáskígyót. ( )
