I really liked Libba Bray's trilogy starting with A Great and Terrible Beauty. Maureen Johnson's The Bermudez Triangle was an off-beat romance. I'm reading The Luxe series right now, and there's some romance in them, too. ... to me! I can't wait to red it though.
I have read one book by Maureen Johnson and I really enjoyed it. It was called the bermudez triangle. Trombone by Craig Nova #5: I quite liked The Bermudez Triangle, but it's really hit or miss with a lot of YA readers I've talked to. Most people seem to like Johnson's 13 Little Blue Envelopes, but it's probably my least favorite of her books. Still pretty good. If Johnson isn't your speed, #7, have you tried Cather ... ... Since I'm also a John Green fan, I'm thinking that I should read some Maureen Johnson, or is she the author of the Bermudez Triangle? A clever book but not at the thought-provoking level of Looking for Alaska or Frankie Landau-Banks. I read The Bermudez Triangle by Maureen Johnson and wasn't all that impressed by that either. I read MJ's blog and love her to death, but are any of her books actually good?
