Work detailsA Spanish Lover by Joanna Trollope
None. Another enjoyable saga of the intersecting lives of middle aged twin sisters. Life, as it does, change inexorably and forces them to examine themselves and their relationship with each other. Too much Joanna Trollope can get a little cloying but as an occassional read, her novels are enjoyable, well written and thought provoking. (And yes, the aga turns up in chapter one!) ( )I liked this book because of the characters. I liked the theme of being true to self - of discovering or rediscovering that self. Not one of Joanna's best but highly recommended as a holiday read, especially if you are holidaying in Spain! The book is predominantly about twin sisters, their relationship with each other and the choices they make for their lives. For a light read it is quite thought provoking. I was a little disappointed in the end when Frances let her hormones rule her head rather than her heart. no reviews | add a review
