Work detailsWhiteout by Ken Follett (2004)
None. Good suspense novel Initially I thought this would be a fairly pedestrian read, but as the story progressed I found that there were twists and turns in the plot which kept me turning the pages. Another great book from Ken Follett. For the most part I enjoyed reading Whiteout. The bulk of the plot had enough twists to keep me interested and the overall flow of the story was smooth. Two things bothered me about the book, however. First, the story line is based on a major (and obvious) security oversight, which in the real world would certainly never happen in a facility needing as tight security as a deadly virus research lab. I suppose that's not a huge issue, as the book was interesting regardless of that fact. Second --- and a more important point --- was the ending of the book. The last chapter was used as a wrap-up to the whole book, and to me it seemed sappy and unnatural. Again, not a big deal, but it left a bad taste in my mouth. no reviews | add a review Is contained inSet of 16 Techno-Thrillers by Ken Follett (Whiteout, Hornet Flight, Jackdaws, Code to Zero, Hammer of Eden, Third Twin, A Place Called Freedom, A Dangerous Fortune, Night Over Water, Lie Down with Lions, Man from St. Petersburg, Key to Rebecca, Triple, Eye of the Needle, Pillars of the Earth) by Ken Follett Is abridged in

The story was interesting, but predictable. The writing, at times, was mediocre and amateurish. (
