Some of the diagrams specifically were useful, and it helped a lot that it specifically mentioned the Restatement or UCC provisions that were being discussed. The examples and explanations that are the trademark of this particular series are not well done. The examples could be helpful, but the explanations are far too lengthy to read while studying. The explanations spend far too much time summarizing other cases in far too much detail. Chances are if this is being used as a study aid, the cases have already been read. The explanations also did not actually answer the questions. They shilly-shally back and forth. Considering poor law students turn to these books for a modicum of security and to assure themselves that they actually have a grasp on the slippery material, this method is not particularly useful. While I would have appreciated mentioning other considerations or factors that might turn a decision the other way, an actual answer to the example would be helpful. It would also have been more helpful to break up the chapters a bit more and maybe intersperse examples with the text. Some of the chapters were 60 pages long without useful breaks. Some of the longer sections within the chapter should have been broken up more as well. Blum doesn't live up to the Glannon books in the Examples series, and the spelling/printing mistakes found throughout the book show unfortunate carelessness on the part of the editors. 0.032 seconds to build listing no reviews | add a review
