The book I am reviewing is Forever. This book is written by Judy Blume. I chose to read this book because it was on our list for challenged books which was a project, and all my friends have read it and highly recommended it. Katherine and Michael are experiencing a lot of first. Michael is Katherine's first boyfriend. She is a virgin when she meets Michael but after a few weeks, she falls in love with him. When Katherine is forced to leave for the summer to be a counselor at camp their relationship is in trouble. She is falling for someone else who is close to her. Be careful with what you do. When you do something make sure you have thought about it. And you know how it is going to end. Relationships are very temperamental and be sure you're ready for them before you do anything you might regret. This book met my expectations very well. The details and the way it relates to teenage life is absolutely awesome Reviewed by Taylor Rector for TeensReadToo.com FOREVER... is the most romantic teen love story ever written! Katherine and Michael are normal teens who meet in a normal way - at a party! What they have together is so bonding it seems like it will last forever. It's also the most difficult kind of relationship, because they are truly in love. After meeting and going out a few times, Katherine feels like she is in love. When she and Michael begin getting closer in a sexual way, they both feel as if this could be it. If I say any more about the plot then I will give away the whole book! Once I started reading this book I couldn't put it down! It isn't often that you come across such an amazing love story because it is told as if Ms. Blume has really been in this intense of a relationship. FOREVER... is a must read for any older, mature teens due to sexual content. Judy Blume does a terrific job in this novel of describing many of the questions young love presents. The two young lovers in the book experience emotional and intimate moments together. As the couple finishes high school, they must finally go separate ways. The teenagers wonder if it will work, or if there high school love was not meant to last forever. Judy Blume is a well-known author for teen and young adult books. This website includes facts and background on her works. Amazon.com (ISBN 0027110303, Hardcover)"Going all the way" is still a taboo subject in young adult literature. Judy Blume was the first author to write candidly about a sexually active teen, and she's been defending teenagers' rights to read about such subjects ever since. Here, Blume tells a convincing tale of first love--a love that seems strong and true enough to last forever. Katherine loves Michael so much, in fact, that she's willing to lose her virginity to him, and, as the months go by, it gets harder and harder for her to imagine living without him. However, something happens when they are separated for the summer: Katherine begins to have feelings for another guy. What does this mean about her love for Michael? What does this mean about love in general? What does "forever" mean, anyway? As always, Blume writes as if she's never forgotten a moment of what it's like to be a teenager.(retrieved from Amazon Fri, 24 Apr 2009 07:58:02 -0400) The first test round has been closed.
