Oh. Sorry - culturally deprived childhood here.
Actually, I did read The Cat in the Hat when I was small, but I was so horrified by the chaos that I never read any of the others. ... and Janacek, and most recently, two contrasting productions for the National Theatre, Bruckner's The Pains of Youth and The Cat in the Hat, based on Dr Seuss's children's story. Much of the music she has chosen is connected with her work in the theatre, ranging from a Bach aria and a Schube ... ... own library for when he's a little older. Hopefully we'll reach 250 before his first birthday!

My kids no longer read them, their too old, I'm keeping them for any grandkids or little ones that might need a Dr Seuss moment.
I'm still looking for TPBM me is sipping a glass of Red Wine ... It has a gripping beginning, but i think the disjointed narrative flow drags it down. It's not up there with the classic The Cat In The Hat. I finished Michael Arlen's The Green Hat and now I'm reading Louise Erdrich's The Beet Queen. ... moved by Kathleen Finneran's The Tender Land: A Family Love Story -- tender indeed.
Now I'm off to the 1920s with The Green Hat by Michael Arlen. Incognito Mosquito, Private Insective Zapped The Cat in the Hat and sent him on a Journey to the River Sea to find The 500 Hats of Bartholomew Cubbins ... to middle schoolers for many years, so I'm always interested when I hear about an exciting new book for young people.
The Green Hat by Michael Arlen -- I enjoyed Exiles, Michael J. Arlen's story about his father's sudden fame in the 1920s (for writing The Green Hat) and finally decided ... Cat in the Hat ... and asked to write a primer that used words from the list of 400 most common words that kids need to know. The result was Cat in the Hat. He used 236 words in the book, and changed the way reading was taught in school. There's more, but that's pretty much the short version. Those are audiobooks I would listen to. ... time, but now, 30+ years later might give it a 3 star. Oh The Places You'll Go however will always be a 5 star, as will The Cat in the Hat and while they are not complex, they each have a place in an adults library also. Honestly, I'd never read either of these before either, (srsly, I've read The Cat in the Hat in Latin, but never in English!), and they're both quite good. ... Harry the Dirty Dog ... all my Dr. Seuss material for my POI, which included Dr. Seuss: American Icon, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and The Cat in the Hat. Tonight, as I study for my history test tomorrow, I'll finish listening to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Speaking of history, we just finished ... The Cat in the Hat by Dr. Seuss ... go with a simpler topic: Dr. Seuss. This weekend, in order to write my POI, I will read how the grinch stole christmas, the cat in the hat, and Dr. Seuss: American Icon. ... give the Koran (Peace be Upon It, or whatever) a place of honor on my library shelf, in between Beauty's Punishment and The Cat in the Hat. ... liked him, and I'd like to find out why.

It's clear that tags rate and track the subject matter of a book this is their primary purpose. The Cat in the Hat is tagged Cat 31 times. This is a standard subject tag and is one of the few tags relating to the actual story; the tag mess appears once and fish or ... Maybe not of the same ilk, but the obvious kids' cat book is The cat in the hat ... and my kids love Spider the horrible cat, about an old lately who takes in a mean alley cat that causes all kinds of trouble ... but when the lady gets sick, Spider saves her ... and when she returns from the ... Definitely the live action versions of How the Grinch Stole Christmas and The Cat in the Hat with Cat being slightly worse than Grinch.
All the magic and joy of the books were excised in favor of outlandish special effects and zany* slapstick, sometimes potty, humor.

et cetera ... the Pooh, and the Dr. Seuss books never appealed to me. In fact, I was mightily insulted when a teacher suggested I read The Cat in the Hat I refused to read any Seuss until my own children asked me to read them aloud to them.
I don't really abhor sci-fi or fantasy -- I even liked a few ... Probably the first book I read by myself was The Cat in the Hat. But it's hard to remember which books I read myself, and which were read to me so often that I memorized them. I loved the Little Bear books, especially the Birthday Soup story, and Make Way for Ducklings, and a great book ... ... simple and short (Hop on Pop, etc.), many are classic tales. I'm thinking of:
