Stone is still smarting fro his sudden breakup with brilliant, beautiful magazine writer Arrington Carrington, who has left him to marry Hollywood's hottest male star, Vance Calder. Then Calder calls Stone for help: Arrington has vanished without a trace, and Calder, refusing to call the police, wants Stone to find her. Stone is in L.A. to help his former lover's husband in a tangly intrigue set in the movie industry. He only has to shake hands with a beautiful woman and then they hop in the sack for marathon sex. It is amazing that he has the time or energy to solve the case. This one is pretty predictable -- why do I keep reading these trashy Stone Barrington novels? (
