I also never thought I would enjoy Nick Hornby, but one copy of About A Boy later and I'm hooked. Finished A Long Way Down and loved it. I need to find a copy of About a Boy now. I read How to be Good and didn't like it so much, but High Fidelity is one of my all-time favorite books.

I've read the novel, too, and I find the differences between the novel and the film fascinating, particularly the endings. I've only read About a Boy so I nominate that one. It was a good book.
