None. This book is very fun for children to read and listen to. It is very energetic and has great, colorful illustrations that follow along with the text. A darling tale where elder animals tell their young to "hurry, hurry" so they can get to the barn in time to meet a new arrival. The pictures and repetitive dialogue are incredibly appealing to babies, toddlers, and preschoolers. This is one of my 2 year old's favorite books. All the animals of the barnyard community hurry to greet their newest member, who is just pecking his way out of an egg. “Hurry! Hurry!” by Eve Bunting is a book about farm animals. This book has many, beautiful pictures. There is repetition on almost every page. This would be a great book for early readers. The readers can talk about and decide what else they think would be going on at this farm. Even Bunting is an author who has written over 250 books. She writes picture books and chapter books for all different age groups. She has won several awards, and she taught a writing class at UCLA. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eve_Bunting no reviews | add a review

Jeff Mack's illustrations have soft edges and pastel colors that make his animals warm and inviting and downright adorable. An extremely simple text can be dressed up a little bit with the appropriate noises to match each animal - better yet, ask your audience to make the noises. This would also be great for a baby storytime.
