I love the colors and the last line SPOLER ALERT! explaining that his shadow is "Yesterday's night left behind for the day" is sweetly poetic. The young boy's friend---his shadow---is kinda alien looking. No one interacts with the boy except his shadow although he is clearly taken care of, so perhaps this is a story about things you can do and not be bored. ( )
