A wonderful book from the 1980's which goes over basic historical facts about the Christian church and their development over time. This book has B&W photos on the right hand sides of every page. This book should be known to every Christian and owned by every Roman Catholic. The book jacket lists Metford as an authority on Spanish and Latin American literature and history. He studied in California, per the jacket info. A valuable book! ( )
