I thought that Camille did the right thing when she turned her boss down on her assignment to dig up dirt on a French billionaires family and got fired. She feared being homeless after she got fired. I thought that Julian should have told his dad that he didn't want to marry the woman he wanted him to marry instead making a bargain with Camille to make her his pretend wife. ( ) This was a quick read with love found and lost between two people. Camille left her job but needed one desperately. She answers a newspaper add for an actress to pretend to be in love with billionaire Julian De Lauent and be engaged for 6 months. Julian wanted his dad off his back about marrying someone Julian didn’t want to marry. He was willing to give a lot of money to do this part time job. Little did the two of them realise that they became very attracted to each other and each having feelings which the other who didn’t know about. The book goes into a lot of how much money Julian has and how little Camille had. But did their pretending last? Did something happen that could end it all? A romantic chick lit style love story that had me hooked. It indulges the reader like a piece of chocolate. Short, sweet with a lingering satisfaction. You are swept away with the charming and wealthy Julian and are as equally charmed by Camille the irresistible heroine who shines with strength and integrity. Although a creative marriage arrangement is made you hope for the fairytale happy ending. I was provided a review copy courtesy of Promotional Book Tours in exchange for an honest review. **I received a copy of The Marriage Bargain free of charge in exchange for my honest opinion through Promotional Book Tours** The Marriage Bargain is a story about two polar opposites who meat due to an ad placed in the newspaper. On one hand Camille is striving to be a writer, working as an intern for a tabloid paper. Now on the other hand we have Julian the billionaire seeking to get out of an arranged marriage. What will happen when there fate crosses their paths? A marriage based upon convenience and money. However neither party wants to be attracted to the other. Camille wants to last out the six months, and be financially set for the rest of her life. Julian wants his father to forget about marrying him off to a woman he despises. Throw into the mix the fact that they have to pull this marriage off as being "real" for his family, and that his former fiance and his father will stop at nothing to throw a wrench into their plans. But then something happens, and for that tidbit, the delicious morsel, you will have to read it. This is a fairly standard happily ever after, but it is a good one. My heart was touched, and I wept tears of sorrow and joy. My life was interrupted, and I even staid awake until 5:30 am just to finish it. To say I was pleased would be an understatement. I only have one tiny peeve, and it's also a tiny spoiler. Camille is said to be a virgin, yet when they consummate the marriage there is no notion from either party. No talk of pain, tightness, or anything a virgin woman might feel during her first sexual encounter. It wasn't story breaking or anything, but just a note I made as reading. If you have a soft spot for romance, you'll enjoy the story. Everyone dreams of their prince charming, even when they don't think they deserve it. Besides there is more to these characters than meets the eye, and I think in many ways they end up being more relatable than we might imagine. Give it a read, you've nothing to lose! no reviews | add a review
