The author followed up his classic, The End of Nature, with this book of hope. He wanted to keep people from going straight to despair and not seeing the possibility of fixing what was wrong, so he searched for people around the world who were creating solutions. Overall, it's well written and accessble, but not as interesting in the totality of its parts as the book which preceded it. ( )
