Deputy Sheriff Raymond Thibodeaux finds a young woman covered in blood crouching over an eviscerated man. The community thinks the woman is the loup-garou, a shape shifter taking the body of a wolf and killing humans. Thibodeaux knows the woman is innocent, and he must prove she is not the loup-garou before a mob forms and burns her. Every page is worth turning in this book, and the language is beautiful. I could almost smell Louisiana as I read Fever Moon. ( )very good, very different This is a very atmospheric mystery set in Cajun country in Louisiana during WW II. Superstitions about the lou-garou (werewolf) are aroused when a man is found apparently torn apart by wild animals and a woman is found beside the body covered in blood. The characters involved in solving the mystery are well-developed and sympathetic. A fascinating story that will keep you turning the pages! no reviews | add a review
