"There are a million ways to die in the great state of Texas. And on the lawless streets of New Hope, the odds are even worse. Once the home of Comanche, the region has been up for grabs since the settlers drove off the natives. Now it's a magnet for settlers looking for cheap land, merchants looking to exploit its resources -- and outlaws looking for a place to hide in between robbing and killing. With shootouts and showdowns being a nightly occurrence, it's one of the deadliest places on earth. And the governor ain't happy about it. He wants to clean up the town. He wants to wipe away the scum. And he knows just the man to do it . . . Enter Cullen McCabe. A small-town sheriff turned special agent, McCabe doesn't care what he has to do -- or who he has to kill -- to rid this hellhole of every rustler, robber, and ruthless cuss in sight. Especially the notorious Viper Gang . . ."-- No library descriptions found. |

Meet Cullen McCabe, a man who can be called in to take care of problems throughout the state of Texas. Readers are introduced to Cullen McCabe in the first book in the series, Death in Texas. While Cullen’s past is littered with heart break, he now is on a mission along with quiet strength to take down those who are bent on destroying innocent lives.
Cullen goes to a town where a gang nicknamed the Viper Gang might be operating or are they? There are settlers looking to make a home in a town that isn’t succumbing once again to outlaws as other towns, hence the name New Hope.
In New Hope, there is a new sheriff who has possibly pulled a fast one on the town council. Cullen has his thoughts about the sheriff and his deputies but can’t prove it, yet. So, ride with the man who is sent by the governor and comes across many other challenges and problems before facing off with a deadly gun slinger. The ending will be a surprise for you and will leave you waiting with bated breath for the next Cullen McCabe adventure, which I hope comes soon!
Till then enjoy Death in Texas and Dark is the Night and many other exciting westerns by the pen of these authors!
