The title story was adapted as Act 3 of "The Apple Tree," a 1966 musical by Bock & Harnick, revived in 2006.

A modern-day retelling of "Cinderella". Also included are the classic "Munro", the four-year old boy who was drafted by the army, "George's Moon", an introspective astronaut who is the only man living on the moon, and "Boom", about what happens when every country on Earth has obtained the Bomb and wants to test theirs.
