I have decided to chuck the 'must-read' list. I am not getting them read and have decided a list approach is just not for me. I will eventually get to them, but probably not all this year. alcottacre in 75 Books Challenge for 2009 : AlcottAcre's 2009 Reads, Take 5 (May 3, 2009, 12:20am)

When Titans Clashed by David M. Glantz is a good one. There is also900 Days by Harrison Salisbury, but it is on the siege of Leningrad, not Stalingrad.

Severn If you haven't read Harrison Salisbury's book The 900 Days: The Siege of Leningrad, and if you are interested in learning more about the German occupation of Russia, I highly recommend this book. I found the Russian spirit to be incredible!

The elements of style by William Strunk Because you own: The 900 Days: The Siege of Leningrad.

#1 - it's a bit old and there has been more recent material, but I would recommend Harrison Salisbury's Siege of Leningrad. For Moscow, Rodric Braithwaite's Moscow 1941 is, I think, highly rated, though I have not yet read it.

... Allen Potter and Fred Bost First Among Sequels by Jasper Fforde Snagged by Carol Higgins Clark The 900 Days by Harrison Salisbury These ought to keep me busy for a day or two!!
