Second in Anne Ursu's Cronus Chronicles. Fun and a quick read. My 12-year-old daughter couldn't put it down. We are now on our way to the library to pick up the 3rd book. I enjoyed continuing Charlotte and Zee's adventures with the Greek gods, too. ( )

Great book -lots of fun, many references to Greek mythology, some obvious, some obscure. If you are a fan of the ancient myths, find this book and read it.

Charlotte Mielswetski and her cousin Zee may have saved the world from Philonecron once, but the grandson of Poseidon hasn't given up yet. This time his nefarious plot to take over the underworld, and given time maybe the whole Greek pantheon, includes a siren, shape-changing immortal, and lots of adventure on the high seas.

Charlotte's a tough heroine. Given that their last world-saving night out got Charlotte grounded indefinitely and therapy sessions with a talkative shrink, and Zee lots (of the wrong kind) of parental attention, it will be interesting to see what the fallout from this little excursion is! ( )
