I liked this book because it was about the first African American woman to go into space. She was very credible and intelligent, proving an inspiration to both girls and boys. The book is full of challenging vocabulary words for first grade readers most likely. There are word pronunciations and definitions at the end of the book allowing readers to question what they are reading but provides instruction and helpful matters so the reader can fully comprehend. This was a motivating piece about a great role model.
