Picoult is one of my favorite authors. MSK is one of my favorites. Two other favorites are 19 minutes and Plain Truth. I am currently reading her newest book, Change of Heart combining organ donation and the death penalty as issues. Again, a compelling read! I just finished Plain Truth by Jodi Picoult and bought Salem Falls. I am hooked on her books after reading The Tenth Circle. I saw a preview for the Lifetime movie for The Tenth Circle it looked good so I read the book (the movie was bad by the way). ... following closely by Nineteen Minutes. I have read almost all of her books. I think the only ones I haven't read are plain truth, salem falls and songs of the humpback whale. I'm reading Jane Austen in Scarsdale and I just finished Plain Truth by Jodi Picoult. If you try her, start with My Sister's Keeper( if you haven't read it already). 2. Plain Truth - Jodi Picoult I have read all of the books that are out in the UK. The first one I read was Plain Truth and it is still my favourite - it is so intense and even once you think you know what has happened you desperately want to find out but finishing is terrible cause the story is done.
She is a great ... ... working my way through her books as well. I have listened to most of them on Audio. So far, I think my favorite one is Plain Truth. RIght now I am listening to Salem Falls.
If you like Jodi Picoult, check out The Rest of Her Life by Laura Moriarty. Her writing style & subject ... I definitely like The Pact the best. Second fav is Plain Truth. OK, to name the ones I've read...Keeping Faith, My Sister's Keeper, Picture Perfect, Plain Truth, Salem Falls, Second Glance and Vanishing Acts...I've started Songs of the Humpback Whale: A Novel in Five Voices but it has been hard for me to get into...I don't read books by the same ... I'd suggest reading Harry Golden , For 2cents plain, Jackie Mason, and some of the Yiddish short story writers like Sholom Aleichem.I think what is known about Jewish Humor in the US comes from the Ashkenazi immigration, where there was a large group of yiddish speakers here, a ... So far I've also read Keeping Faith, Plain Truth, and Salem Falls ... I didn't think they were all that great though, so they don't make my "Favourites" list.
My next Picoult read will be The Pact: A Love Stor ... ... her subject matter, and I find that I learn something when I read her books. I enjoyed the first two books that I read: Plain Truth and My Sister's Keeper: a novel. But Vanishing Acts left me flat and while I might read more of her work it won't be for a while. Book #12

Over the weekend I bought Nineteen Minutes and Plain Truth both by Jodi Picoult and Mockingbird a biography of Harper Lee by Charles J. Shields. My Sister's Keeper was my first, which led me to pick up her others. So far I think The Pact has been my favourite. Plain Truth is definitely a good one too.

I agree with you. The first Picoult book I read was Plain Truth, and then My Sister's Keeper (touchstone not loading). I enjoyed both for the strengths you described. Then I read Vanishing Acts which left me flat. I wonder if it's the book itself, or is it that she employs some of ... Plain Truth by Jodi Picoult is a fictional, but well-researched, account of an incident in an Amish community near Lancaster, PA.
