I plan to read either A Poisoned Season by Tasha Alexander or Search the Dark by Charles Todd this month. May also try the 2nd book set in North Korea and the first one set in Mongolia.

I'm in Victorian England with A Poisoned Season by Tasha Alexander--I'm only a chapter in so far, but am hoping to enjoy it as much as I liked And Only To Deceive. ... 07/20/09 I'm glad I waited to buy this book until I had at least three in the series... addicted already!

Am raaaather (say it in your best British drawl) fond of the Tasha Alexander books (A Fatal Waltz, Poisoned Season, And Only to Deceive...I think I listed them in order from newest to oldest, but really they're all quite good. A Poisoned Season - new ... village of Sitting Marsh in WWII England in Dig Deep for Murder and am about to go to Victorian London for the Season in A Poisoned Season Stopped by the library after the gym today and checked out A Poisoned Season by Tasha Alexander and The Lady Elizabeth by Alison Weir.
Came home to find Perfection Salad by Laura Shapiro and Murder Most Royal by Jean Plaidy waiting in the mailbox from fellow bookmoochers Finished A Poisoned Season. It wasn't that bad by the end. Well... heheh, they usually DO solve the mystery, after all, so they aren't quite hopeless...
Started something much more interesting: The Tomb of Zeus by Barbara Cleverly. About a feisty (but not obnoxiously so) young ... ... But I did like the idea that part of the mystery was coming to know one's own husband.
I'm currently reading A Poisoned Season, but it seems less interesting because it doesn't have that extra-interest. Half-way through it now... but she's just seriously annoyed me by doing a Stu ... ... by the Deathly Hallows release date, and skipped ahead to the ones I had never yet re-read.

I LOVED And Only to Deceive -- one of my favourite reads last year and I just read the follow up (The Poisoned Season) which I enjoyed as well.
