However, he needed more 1) biblical support, 2) historical evidence, 3) illustrations from his context to reinforce his points (the ones he gave were great, we needed more), and 4) practical and instructional steps on how to make the transition from what he refers to as “speaching” to “progressional dialogue.” I felt way too much of the book was spent on decrying why “speaching” is of little value when more of the conversation should have been spent on how we go about implementing “progressional dialogue” in various ministry and spiritual formation settings. ( )For years people have told me I have a conversational style of preaching. One person actually asked if I had considered opening up to dialogue (a thought that just scared me). Since reading this book I've acutally experienced with the concept in some pretty open formats and I love it. Thank you Doug. no reviews | add a review
