This is a new book. It is, in fact, brand new - or rather, it was on the 17th, when I bought and read it - and the first ... I will probably read a couple more books before the end of the month, but so far my favorite book is The Last Colony by John Scalzi with The Outlaws of Sherwood by Robin McKinley a close second. Yesterday, I got The Last Colony by John Scalzi.
I had preordered it from Amazon several months ago, with the assumption that I would get it basically as soon as it was available (right? isn't that generally why one pre-orders a book?). And though the technical release date of the book was ... ... and The Sagan Diary, both by John Scalzi were pre-ordered from Amazon. I'm still waiting for my third pre-order, The Last Colony, which isn't out yet.
