She has a recent book of short stories called Hardly Knew Her which you may like as well. I also laughed my way through Assassination Vacation. I wish my high school US History class had been half as interesting! What the Dead Know by Laura Lippman came to a not unexpected but interesting end last night. It is quite a wrenching tale of what happens to a family when their two daughters disappear from a shopping mall, one of them supposedly resurfacing thirty years later. Did I say wrenching? What the Dead Know by Laura Lippman I finished The Monsters of Templeton by Lauren Groff day before yesterday and started right in on What the Dead Know by Laura Lippman. However, I don't expect to get too, too far in the book because you can count me in as someone whose children and grandchildren will be trickling in over the ... My agreeable husband just brought me Laura Lippman's What the Dead Know from the university library. It's a cold night (for Alabama), so I'm headed for a hot bath, a brandy, and Ms Lippman. lucky me.
But now to look up Julia Spencer-Fleming. ... for a book. I just read three separate books about missing children Songs for the Missing, The Weight of Silence, and What the Dead Know that I wanted to link together using recommendations, but it seems I can only recommend one book rather than two. I really enjoyed this crime/mystery -- it was fast moving and set in the Baltimore area, so there were a lot of local references, which I think always makes for a fun read. As the story unfolds, you don't know what to ... My commute book is What the Dead Know by Laura Lippman. Very good so far, although I find myself surprisingly unsympathetic towards the alleged victim. Maybe it's just her ridiculous demands that are getting on my nerves.

I was less than impressed with What the Dead Know which I also recently read. It made me not want to read any more Laura Lipmann books, although I admit that detective mysteries are not my "thing".
Finished What the Dead Know by Laura Lippman and have started Bachelor Brothers' Bed and Breakfast by Bill Richardson. #8. What the Dead Know by Laura Lippman. Outstanding. I think I'll start reading her Tess Monaghan series to see if I like them. Congratulations on making your goal!
I liked What the Dead Know, but then, I like mysteries. I have read one other Lippman book and enjoyed that as well To The Power of Three, but I don't know if I will read any more of hers--she seems a bit formulaic. Both books had a victim who wasn't ... The Eyre Affair by Jasper Fforde I'm back in Baltimore, Maryland, USA, (where I really grew up) with Laura Lippman's What the Dead Know. It's a fun place be because I'm familiar with so many of the place names mentioned in the story! As a former resident of Baltimore, I am enjoying What the Dead Know by Baltimore author Laura Lippman. It's fun to read names of places I recognize.
