I then read Now and Then by Robert B Parker, the most recent of his Spenser novels to come out in paperback. I wouldn't recommend it - if you were starting to read these novels, the ... I've just finished reading Now and Then by Robert B Parker. I've felt as if he was going through the motions for a long time, but have stuck with them because I enjoyed the earlier ones so much.
