... (I need to try the Artemis series again; couldn't get into it the first time), and we'll both read John Twelve Hawks's The Dark River. I found copies of Oliver Twist, which I've just started reading on my iPod e-reader app, Mrs. Dalloway for a second V. Woolf after reading To the Lighth ... Finished The Dark River, sequel to The Traveler and feel very much like I'm back dealing with the end of the second Matrix movie--I really want that last book in hand! Going to Earth next and this time plan to finish it. It's one of David's that I just never seem to start at the right time. ... three stories also on my 999 Challenge, and one book from last month's book club which I stalled in reading in January:

Hard as Nails by Dan Simmons
Pale Horse, Pale Rider by Katherine Anne Porter
Mona in the Promised Land by Gish Jen.
More ... ... enlighten me so I can add to the TBR which has not yet reached continent size, but only country.
Also, some have said The Dark River really leaves the reader hanging at the end and recommend waiting until the third book is out to read the second. What do you think? I just finished saying on LisaCurcio's thread that The Traveler made my favorites from last year and I really enjoyed The Dark River also. ... as soon as the name comes to me. I am awaiting the third. The books are like Jason Bourne meets Charles de Lint.
ETA: The Dark River I'm so glad you enjoyed The Traveler! The second book The Dark River in the series is equally wonderful; however, you may want to wait until he writes the final book of the series, because the second book really leaves you hanging! By the time the third one comes out, I'll have to re-read the ... ... my TBR stack:
