Maybe the second LuAnn Rice book ever, possibly the first. This was a good, lighthearted family story involving Georgiana and her sister, Clare, their mother, Honorara, and grandmother, Pem. Living in a compound of sorts with their husbands and children, this is a story of Georgie's life, her love, and her job. I found this very touching and felt moved to tears more than once as the sisters dealt with their mother and grandmother. While moving, this was also an easy read....a good beach read. ( )

To distract herself, she plunges into her work with the Swift Observatory, examining the stories of people whose lives have been changed by unexpected tragedy. But it’s when a handsome stranger arrives on her doorstep that Georgie learns firsthand that when your dreams are in danger of collapsing, it’s time to create new ones.…
