I cannot imagine why the book was done this way, unless the publisher figures that the market share for larger, inobservant women who will buy this by mistake is greater than the share of small women who will be thrilled to see a book in their sizes.
Many of the deisgns are quite attractive. I haven't returned my copy, since I may try to adapt them to my size. Just know what you're buying. I can't comment on the instructions, since I haven't made one, but the patterns look clear and well diagrammed. (
