I really liked the Riverworld series, but this is sort of more Riverworld for Riverworld junkies. Not bad, but not nearly as good as the original trilogy. ( )

A lot of 'fictional writer' stuff to be found here, apart from the ancillary Riverworld story, which is rather long and stars Tom Mix. Farmer details the evolution of Riverworld from a contest entry to advice to stories and the novel series, as well.

Riverworld, a million mile river where everyone who ever died is reincarnated, is a neat idea which Farmer strung out for way too long. The original story is only average. ( )
