This book is about a Walrus named Wilbur who has a toothache. Wilbur does not want to go to the dentist, because he is scared. Wilbur decides to go talk to his Grandpa about his toothache. After seeing Grandpas broken tusk Wilbur decides to go to the dentist. The dentist fixed his problem and told him to brush his tusks twice a day. In the end Wilbur was glad he went to the dentist.
Personal Reaction:
I enjoyed reading this book about Wilbur the Walrus. It has great pictures of many Walrus'. It's fun to read and shows kids about hygiene.
Classroom Extension Ideas:
1. I would have the class learn how to properly brush their teeth, and teach
them the importance.
2. I would use this book when learning about walrus' or when we learn
about cold places on earth. ( )
