Had high hopes for this book, what with the position the author held in the White House, and all the high profile reviewers, but I was disappointed.The writing was fantastic, kept me turning the pages but most of the book was build up.I was VERY disappointed in the reason for "America's Last Days" (won't give it away here) but there are so many REAL WORLD reasons (ala the shredding of the Constitution and power grab of the current administration) that could have been the basis of the book, but the author took a different route and kinda shallow reason in my opinion. ( )

It had several good blurbs - but I could not make it past page 93. The characters just seemed contrived and predictable... this book could have been good - but it's not. ( )
