2727 They Have Taken Root: The Sisters of the Third Order of St. Francis of the Holy Family, by Sister Mary Eunice Mousel, O.S.F., Ph.D. (read 4 Apr 1995) This is a moving and excellent account of the community we think of as the Dubuque Franciscans. This book, while much of that hagiographical bent normal in 1954, was greatly impressive to me, and I quite thoroughly admire the sacrificing sisters who did so much for the Church in Iowa--and run Briar Cliff College [now Briar Cliff University].
