Stumbled across this in a second hand book store, the title and cover art repelled me, but I really like Linda Howard, so I bought it. I'm really glad I did, it has a lovely Linda Howard not so short story (about 110 pages) called Overload, about a man and a woman who get stuck in an office building during an electricity blackout (caused by heat for once, rather than Howard's more favored snowed in version) and it turns out they have a history... and so things go. I liked it because it shows that sometimes an alpha males strategies can back fire, and here he makes his recovery... fun and hot in the city. It's a keeper and a reread for me.
(I'm pretty sure I read the other 2 stories, but they clearly didn't make an impact and I never reread them. I keep it for the Howard story, and that's fine by me) ( )

There she was kidnapped and taken to the seaside domain of Estaban Ramirez... alias the Leopard. He intended to make Olivia his woman -- for always. "Lonesome Rider" by Heather Graham Pozzessere: The West--America's last frontier--a land of heartache and promise for the unforgettable heroine...
