The Piano ... ... and the Slave Girl. The Reading Globally Group is doing a month on slavery, and I was planning on reading Property by Valerie Martin. Saphira sounds like it might have similar themes, so I'm going to try to read it too. Have you read Property? ... neighbor kids to get off your lawn. Then it's all over and you might as well start wearing sock garters.
I am reading Trespass and it is just starting to get interesting as the main character has gone in search of her mother in Croatia. I am also reading Oblomov. The title character is ... ... reviews. I also devoured Maus II: A Survivors Tale: And Here My Troubles Began in about two hours. Up next is Trespass, which I remember nothing about except it sounded good when you all were talking about it a few weeks ago, prompting me to get it from the library.

Valerie Martin has a new book out called Trespass which has been well-reviewed over here. I have it in my pile but probably won't get to it until 2008.
I suppose the new Kingsolver might get the nod...
