Book description |
When a sorority sister is killed, Claire refuses to believe it was a simple hit-and-run accident and decides to investigate herself. ----------------------------------
Claire Malloy, bookstore owner, part-time sleuth, and full-time single mother, isn't quite sure she's ready to handle her big 4-0 birthday or her teenage daughter Caron. the Kappa Theta Eta sorority, which happens to be housed right next door to the Malloys, has just recruited Caron to be a My Beautiful Sel, Inc. consultant. But beauty makeovers may not be all the sorority girls are specializing in. To add to the horror of Claire's graying hair, one of the Kappa Theta Eta sisters is killed in the dark alley next to the sorority. The cops rule to accidental hit-and-run, but Clair isn't so sure and decides to investigate herself. AS she digs deeper into the case, Claire discovers that he sisters' activities are not as sweet and innocent as the sorority's pink colors might suggest. For Claire Malloy, it's going to be a heck of a way to spend the lazy, hazy days of the crazies Farerville summer she's known yet - that is, if she makes it alive. | |
