Elizabeth's pithy instructions mean you have to think for yourself, which can only make you a better knitter. A must-have. I am a recent knitter, and a recent convert to the ways of EZ. Her pithy comments make complete and total sense to me, and I understand the concepts that she espouses clearly as they are my own in many cases. It is at once a look into the recent past when it wasn't unrealistic to make things for yourself, and a look at a timeless craftsperson reveling in her twin crafts of fibre and word arts. Interesting read, and useful patterns - assumes the knitter is actually capable of understanding what she's doing - which is refreshing! no reviews | add a review

The other patterns in the book translate well for any time period and are very useful. (
