Amazon.com Product Description (ISBN 0973974214, Paperback)

air pressure is a book composed by eye. Rather than grouping poems by defining themes, chapters, or sections, as is typical of more familiar books of poetry, the poems in air pressure have been employed as elements in a continuous visual sequence. Sequence = meaning. As the reader’s eyes moves through these shape-changing poems – in 1-2-3 sequence, or more likely a random 1-3-2 sequence – it is the writer’s quiet hope that the matter of ‘themes, chapters, and sections’ will get absorbed by the attentive reader. Content = changeable and changing experience. air pressure occupies the space beween what we think as of ‘visual poetry’ and ‘text-based poetry.’ While the poems were composed with a spirit of play and creative expression, strict attention has been given to what a poem looks like beside another poem.
