Doctor Owl is very serious, perhaps too serious. Mr. Goat visits him with an ailment and the Doctor prescribes his famous blue medicine that 'will stop you from feeling funny, and you must pay me lots of money.' Doctor Owl tastes some of this medicine and finds the effect to be different than expected. Illustrations are colorful and add to the humor of the text. Easy reader. Frequent repetition of words and phrases to assist the new reader. ( )
