This book, Andrew Lost, is a story about two children who have accidentally shrunken themselves and are lost in the jungle. The children must get to a river where they will be saved by their uncle. Their journey through the jungle is filled with adventure and excitement as well as lots of facts about rain forrest creatures. This book had a great plot and good information, however, the sidekick, a robot, talks like a baby. He uses incorrect grammar and I found this made the book harder to read. Therefore, I would not recommend it.

Book Summary: The main characters Andrew, Judy, and Thudd are off on an adventure through the rain forest. They just have one problem- they have all been turned into the size of tiny bugs! As they journey through the rain forest in search of the Uncle Al, they encounter all sorts of jungle creatures. When they are finally saved by Uncle Al, they know much more about the Australian rain forest and so do all the readers of this book.

Content Summary: This book presents information about rain forest and animals that live there in the form of a story. This book is great for making learning about the rain forest fun and helping students remember facts about the rain forest. It can be paired very well wtth "Afternoon on the Amazon" by Mary Pope Osbourne.

Andrew and his cousin, Judy, along with a small robot, Thudd, are shrunk into minuture size as they are lost in the jungle waiting on the arrival of their uncle. They are faced with many animals along their way. This is an adventure book that would be great for the students to read to introduce them to different species of animals in the jungle. ( )
