Lulu was getting very old and the little girl took care of her. When Lulu passed away, they had a funeral for her. The family got a new dog in the summertime, and even though this puppy wasn't Lulu they loved the puppy anyways.

Lulu is a dog that's growing old. Climbing the stairs was impossible, sight and hearing eventually deteriorated to nothing and soon after, Lulu couldn't move. The little girl eventually must cope with Lulu's inevitable death.

Lulu, the family dog, is loved very much by the little girl. As the girl grows up Lulu gets older and the little girl must face the death of her first animal companion. Over time the little girl learns that she will always have the good memories of her first dog and that's Lulu will always be in her heart.
