An important and thought provoking skeptical work. Though, as others have pointed out: It isn’t clear that Kripke is accurately describing Wittgenstein’s argument, as opposed to sort of constructing his own (hence many have dubbed it that of “Kripgenstein”); the skepticism here is inconsistent with Kripke’s views in other contexts; and It isn’t clear that the “public" language solution offered here is really a solution at all.
