This Arthur book is a great one for second graders. Arthur and Buster feed some ducks and one baby gets left out of the pack and Arthur brings him home. The duckling is happy at first, but soon becomes sad. D.W. thinks that he is homesick, so Buster, Arthur, the Brain, and D.W. try to think of ways to get him back to his family. They decide to create a glider and then Arthur's father brings them to the lake so that they can put the duckling on it and sail him off to find his family. The glider ends up falling to the ground, but the duckling takes off on his own and finds his family!
