Lady Taylor Stapleton was devastated when her fiancé eloped with her cousin, but only her grandmother, Lady Esther knew. Now Taylor has to try to escape her unscrupulous uncle who is placed to become her guardian. Taylor is determined to avoid this. She agrees to her grandmothers plan to marry Lucas Ross, an American, and move there with him.

The plan includes them getting divorced, which they both agree to at first but the more time they spend together the harder it is to keep that pledge.

It's fluff, but fun fluff. ( )

I've always been a huge fan of Julie Garwood. This book was no exception. The characters were likable, and you really grew to empathize with them and their situation. The writing is exceptional, and the story wonderful. ( )

Taylor and Lucas were such opposites and yet alike. Her addoption of the twins and little boy was so sweet. I loved the huge giant that kept building rocking chairs. Llucas's friend had such an inner since of humor. I was glad he ended up with the pregnant girl.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book - Lucas Ross is such a delicious hero, and the story kept me hooked all the way through. Loved the settings (it has several) and every character came alive for me. ( )
