God, once upon a time this was so important to show that social science was not value free. But the debate was rarely about that natural sciences had similar problems. The struggle was to combat the structural and functional views of society that ignored power and class inequality. Interestedly nothing here about a feminist or non western counter view and that all the contributions were white middle men! ( )
