This large-format board book is attached to a box with small model pieces to snap into place in the book, to complete educational puzzles. Kids learn about the moon, man-made satellites, mars and the Rover mission, the planets of our solar system, and the life of a star in the Milky Way galaxy.
Suitable for grades 1 to 3, with some adult help to read the captions. Kind of gimmicky, more of a toy than a book since there are only 4 main page spreads. (Not worth the list price of $22.99, better value from Scholastic at $9.99 Canadian.)
A useful interactive introduction to space, which may lead kids to read more detailed books. ( )
