The Sluggers baseball team wants to buy team tee shirts but they do not have enough money. They decide to have a car wash to raise money. They get a lot of customers and they add up all the money throughout the day until they have enough money to buy shirts. The book is a great book for children to read to help them practice adding money.

This book has several references to math. This would definitely help the older children out with addition and subtraction. The teach could read this as a read aloud and the students could help her say what the answer would be. This is a realistic fiction also because many groups, and clubs, etc. have to raise money for the things they need and they do so by having fundraisers like a car wash.

Great book for young readers learning mathematics. In particular this book is designed to help children learn how to add.
